:bulletpink: :bulletblue: :bulletyellow: The contest is now closed for submissions. Thank you to all who participated and submitted such creative entries :D  I took a quick glance over them as they were submitted, but I'm going to take some time to thoroughly read over each one over the next week, and will post the winner soon ( within a week or slightly more ).

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just a quick update to see if we have any more takers :)  This is a last call to enter. The deadline will be midnight tonight, I will give consideration Pacific Time because I won't begin looking over entries until tomorrow anyway.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hey everyone! It's been a long time since I've run a contest here and I wanted to do something a bit different this time. Usually I either hosted straight up giveaways or contests where members would submit visual artwork. This time, no artwork entries will be required.

Funds are low for me now so I can't offer subs or points as prizes at the moment, however, I can offer my time and work!

Here is how it will go...

Rules for entry:

1. To enter to win, you must comment below with a very descriptive paragraph about a character you have created, or even a new one that you just come up with now. You do NOT already have to have an existing OC to qualify. You can make a new one if you wish. It doesn't even have to be officially an " OC ". If there is just an idea about a fantasy being you'd like to see on paper, feel free to enter the details about it in the comments.

* Even if there is a character in mythology that you'd like represented, this would qualify as well ( if you do choose an existing mythological being, you must do the research and give me all the descriptive details in a comment below ).

2. Be VERY descriptive and imaginative. I will be choosing ONE entry based on appeal and my ability to do the task. The more info I get straight up about a piece, the better.

I will choose only ONE winner. I'd like to be able to do more, but my process is usually quite slow and I'd never have time to run a tab of free requests here, sorry :)

:bulletpink: PRIZE:  The prize is that I will do my best to render your creation,* in my style. * This part is important - Please take a look at my work to get an idea about my style. The commission prize you will receive will be drawn in my own style. If you prefer your OC to be drawn in cartoon, anime or bright colored style, then this is probably not the contest for you. Please consider this before entering the contest. ALSO IMPORTANT - I'm not especially skilled with drawing furry animals. However, this doesn't mean I would not be willing to try. I just want everyone to realize that if I should choose a furry type creature, it would be a bit more a challenge for me and may not be as good as other animal artists can render.

The drawing I make will most likely be ink and graphite, like most of the work in my gallery. So if that interests you, go ahead and leave your entry description in the comments below.

* ONE Character/being/subject will be included with this commission prize.

* No sexually explicit or lewd descriptions please. I can draw tasteful nudes but I do have line I won't cross. That, plus some of my watchers are underage and   I'd prefer that they not be exposed to explicit content on my page, written or drawn.

* VERY IMPORTANT: For USA - Winner will receive actual drawing, shipped via USPS. * For INTERNATIONAL - Winner will have the choice of DIGITAL FORMAT commission, OR the commission can be drawn in a smaller size for international shipping ( 5 x 7 or 6 x 8 inches ). I can't afford to ship large pieces internationally at this time, so if the winner lives outside the United States, they can have the choice of a larger, more detailed drawing in a digital file only or to receive an original drawing in a smaller size format.

* Deadline to enter is Feb. 1 2016 - Any entry comments left after this date will not be considered. This will give you a full month to come up with an idea if you don't already have one.

If there are any questions, maybe something I've missed here, please send me a note.

:bulletblue: :bulletblue: IMPORTANT UPDATE:   It seems there may have been some confusion as to what is required for this contest. Although I did request very thorough descriptions, I meant more of it to be focused on one character, as that is what I will be drawing. I will not be illustrating a full scene and excerpts from stories are not required. I was worried that some may think there is a literary requirement here and are not entering because of this. This is why I stated above about one paragraph describing your character. All I need is a good PHYSICAL description of one character or creature you'd like illustrated.

Just to clarify, if you have stumbled across this contest but did not enter because you thought you had to write a story, please know, that you can enter. You need only give a good, physical description of your character.

It's not that I don't appreciate the literary craft, but it will just make it easier for me if I now EXACTLY which character you wanted illustrated, which is a little difficult if short stories ( or excerpts ) are being posted with more than one character in it.  So PLEASE, for all entries from this point, try to enter a descriptive paragraph about a character, but not a story. :bulletblue: :bulletblue:

Thanks for your participation!

Zunni Tesse is a character from my Castling story. The people in that story look almost like humans but they have pointy ears and 12 identical, not very big but visible, markings on their bodies: 1 on each cheek, 2 on each arm and 3 on each thigh. These markings are called birthbrands and several shades darker then the person's skin tone (or lighter if the person is dark-skinned). Zunni's skin is fair and her birthbrands are shaped like small spiral.

She is rather short only about 160cm and has an hourglass figure. She would be considered neither skinny nor plump. Her chestnut hair is so long that it easily covers her behind. She has dark brown eyes. Her face and general appearance would be best described as cute or sweet or adorable, and not beautiful or handsome. Here she is a more detailed description through the eyes of her husband during their wedding:

Count Rioha looked at his future wife as she slowly approached him in the temple. At least she looked stunning. The marriage was a purely political affair as the girl's father – and the count's immediate superior in the ministry - had been making numerous remarks about the girls age and supposedly diminishing childbearing powers. That was a clear exaggeration since the girl was only 19 but Rioha decided that the wedding would just put the end to the embarrassing conversations at work. She was everything one would expect from a fiancée of the capitol's most fashionable count. Her traditional red dress was made according to latest fashions, with richly embroidered floral patterns on the bodice and the long wide skirt. It emphasized her lovely figure and had just enough cleavage to accentuate her full bust, while her slender bare shoulders and arms were covered with a translucent arrangement of ethereal chiffon. Long, wide and richly embroidered ribbons were tied around her wrists, the ends of these ribbons whispered as they delicately rubbed against the silk skirt. Her luscious chestnut hair was slightly styled with pins and red ribbons at the back of her head but most of it flowed down in a luxurious wave down her back as she moved with apprehension up the stairs to the altar. There was a slight frown crowning her round face and although her lovely soft cheeks were covered with make-up the count could see she was pale. Her doe brown eyes weren't looking at him. She was looking at the floor pressing her luscious lips together. This tension spread throughout her features and it even reached her shapely pointy ears, where in just few minutes he was supposed to pin two earrings symbolising their bond. She was clearly unsure and he couldn't blame her, because he felt the same way. He only hoped he was less obvious about it.
